Spent 3 nights here in our caravan. Facilities are spotless, our pitch was level grass. The forest is fantastic to walk our dog, a black lab. Put a trail camera out, 30 metres from the park and caught a boar family, muntjac deer, fox and rabbits all in daylight. Will definitely visit again.

Such an incredible campsite. From the moment you book the communication is fantastic. Upon arrival the staff are there to book you in and direct you to your pitch, give you a full briefing of where things are located and facilities available as well as information on local shops. The campsite is extremely well kept and a beautiful location. Family friendly site with noise and vehicle kerfews which is perfect for settling for the night. Highly recommend and would visit again

We camped, so the 5 star for rooms is the quality of the pitch. Beautiful well appointed campsite near by all the main Forest of Dean attractions. From booking to check out the whole experience was easy and made to feel valued. The inland views from the non electric pitches in Bluebell Field are some of the best we have had at an official campsite. Kitchenette, shower blocks and toilets immaculately clean and well appointed. Morning visit by the cows (young bulls?) to the next field amused all the children on the campsite and many adults too.

On arrival we were taken to our good size camping EUP pitch by Kelly the site organiser and was given valuable advice and local information for us to make the most of our visit, places to eat and drink also local shops, pubs, towns and places of interest, saved us searching for them. The Campsite was peaceful and respectful to everyone's privacy and it had a great atmosphere throughout the week also gated security on entrance and exit cctv. The pitch was reasonably flat given the fact we were on the Severn Estuary Valley. The cost of our stay was good value to add the amenities were spotless and hygiene was of a high standard, cleaned twice daily or when required. Noise levels were well managed by Geoff the site manager and the site was very quiet generally were you could hear a pin drop between 10.00pm and 07.30am most nights. A site you could return to annually as it was one of The Forest of Dean's little gems with stunning views and wildlife especially at night with owls and many different species of birds during the day, we were yards away from the entrances to the forest. Great for walkers and cyclists. Take binoculars if you have some. Our EUP lead was a little short however Geoff gave us an extension lead for the week. No charge. 👍

Our huge grass pitch was close to a toilet block. Facilities were kept very clean. A pizza van comes in on saturdays. There are two convenience shops within 15 minutes along with a local pub. Good walking is closeby.

Lovely site. Quiet, clean and very friendly staff. Gorgeous views over the valley and perfect to watch the stars and meteor showers. Shower block was always clean.

Book here especially if camping. It’s lovely! The view from our spot and many other was amazing. The direct access to the woods was fantastic, great directions from the Aussie fella that checked us in, to direct us how to walk to a really good pub called the Miners Arms, which had great food and beer, as well as really good play area for our son and other kids to enjoy. Pizza truck on a Saturday was awesome. Really good quality pizza. The food was almost surpassed by the two chefs dry sense of humour, but the pizzas were just that little bit better. Nice facilities. My wife liked the fact it was secure with the coded gate.

As for your personal services- well it was incredibly appreciated with your kindness, support & friendliness. Nothing seemed too much trouble and so helpful with the situation of my friend’s broken wrist. We were truly unsure whether to come or not due to sleeping situation in tent but with your amazing support of providing a suitable sleeping solution it made our visit less of a worry. So thank you so much. We will be back at some point I’m sure.

We had a fantastic first stay at this lovely, peaceful site. We received a warm welcome on arrival, with all the information we needed. There’s a lovely pub about a mile away where we enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch, which we would highly recommend. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this site. We’ll certainly be back!

Excellent site with generous and well demarcated pitches. Staff were very welcoming and accomodated all requests. Grounds maintenance was excellent. The Kitchen and shower facilities are a very good standard and cleaned regularly by friendly staff. The location is within easy reach of most local attractions. There are superb woodland walks right at the edge of the site, and you can even walk all the way to the nearest town without leaving the forest.
