Myself & My Girlfriend Erin Stayed here Thursday - Sunday for 3 nights, as she was competing in the Forest of Dean Ultra 55k. We stayed in Forge Cottage, the whole place is absolutely stunning, Former Horse equestrian, Converted stables into cottages, at a high standard. Owners were very accommodating on arrival and cared about the experience. You can walk from the Site, straight into the forest of Dean. Very Dog Friendly, Managed to take our 3 here, as sometimes its hard to find a accommodating stay for 3. Highly recommended and we will be back ourselves and to potentially arrange the Canicross Group camping event here. Thank you.

Loved this campsite! It is not too big so feels nice and cozy, we were on the grass and gravel pitches which are nice and flat (and very close to the facilities building) , however next time we might try one of the grass ones as they seemed to have nicer views😉 we were welcomed by a very friendly host who offered lots of useful information (including reassuring me and my fear of meeting wild boars in the forest 😀). Facilities were kept very clean during our stay and on Saturday evening they have a pizza van that turns up with the best pizza ever!!! Delicious 😋 they also had some very cute cows on site x very dog friendly site, enclosed dog field (there was cow 💩 around it when we visited and knowing our dog he would have run straight into it so we have preferred to walk him in the forest instead, but it is a nice and big enclosed area for your dogs to enjoy). You have direct access to the forest and so many paths to explore, we loved our walks! All in all, we highly reccommend this side and can't wait to return

Welcomed on arrival by Anita. Given slices of freshly baked cake which was a lovely gesture. Property was immaculate and very nicely presented. Not secluded, but genuinely doesn't feel that it's not, due to the fact that the garden/ hot tub isn't overlooked. The forest is literally outside the back gate. A great base for exploring the area. We would heartily recommend and will return

Found last minute on pitch up and stayed for 1 night. Spacious quiet pitches, super clean facilities, beautiful views! Pub is 15 mins walk away. We’ll be back next year.

Stayed for three nights, great campsite, facilities are spotless. Easy cycle through to the Forest of Dean cycle paths. Pizza van on Sunday was an unexpected treat! Miners arms is a 30min walk/ 10min cycle and has excellent food!

We just had a lovely few days at Deanwood campsite. What a beautiful place and ideal for long walks and exploring the surrounding area. Everything was lovely and clean, the pitches are a very good size and it never felt hectic or busy, even though we were there during a bank holiday weekend. Thank you very much! We are already looking forward to our next visit 😊

Amazing site, beautiful views from every pitch, lovely people running the place. The most immaculately clean bathrooms and kitchen areas I have ever seen in a campground. We'll be back!

We had a lovely night here. Beautiful views and access to the forest right from the edge of the site. The staff/management were very friendly and helpful, both before and during our visit. The online check in system was very good, also allowing us to message the site with very quick responses received.

We had an absolutely superb family weekend at Deanwood Holiday Cottages, with a large group of 28 adults and 8 children (aged 2 to 85). We took 10 of the 13 cottages, which worked brilliantly for our group. The venue is fantastic, with plenty of space for everyone to relax, socialise and enjoy themselves, and the Forest of Dean is literally on the doorstep. The cottages themselves were lovely — beautifully clean, comfortable and brilliantly well equipped, with everything we needed for a large family gathering. We were very fortunate to have beautiful weather during our stay, but even without the sunshine, Deanwood is an amazing place and there is plenty to enjoy both on site and in the surrounding area. A special mention has to go to Anita and her team, who couldn’t have been more helpful from the moment we booked right through to when we left. Nothing was too much trouble, and they made organising a large group feel remarkably easy. Every single one of our group commented on what a fantastic weekend we’d had, and we couldn’t recommend Deanwood Holiday Cottages highly enough. A brilliant venue, a beautiful location and a fantastic team. We would absolutely love to return!

A very late booking, handled superbly from start to finish. Every effort was made to ensure a trouble free arrival by owners with the clever guest messaging app. Slightly late arriving but reception was left open with lots of information given to us. Beautiful views from the pitch we had in Bluebell Field, probably the best inland views we have ever had from a recognised campsite. My youngest declared “it feels like we are in another country” as he gazed across the forest and the setting sun light played on the layers of trees. Morning visit from the cows in the next field kept children amused on campsite. Really clean and well appointed shower and toilet block, as was the kitchenette. Moving around on site really easy. Tea towels, dishcloth appeared to have been left for those who forget to bring their own. Very close to a lot of the major sites of the the area. We had a small taster of Forest of Dean for mountain biking but will definitely be back to explore more of the available activities and a longer stay at Deanwood is almost certainly guaranteed. So glad the site popped up on PitchUp as our search was looking fruitless. Will book direct next time now we have found this lovely site. Can’t believe it wasn’t busier.

Breathtaking view from our level pitch overlooking the Forest of Dean. Easy access to walks in the forest, clean facilities and a really useful kitchen area to wash up in with a washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge and freezer to use too. The owners Geoff and Anita were fantastic, they let us swap our pitch to get an even better view and gave us fresh figs in the morning. Whole field provided for dogs to exercise in. Loved it here and will be back.

Anita and Geoff together with the other lady who work to manage this site work incredibly hard to keep it looking spotless and clean. They were all so welcoming and helpful. It is the cleanest campsite I have been on and the site is beautiful. The little touches like clean tea towels always replenished in the washing up room, were really appreciated. Toilet block and showers were always spotless and there was plenty of hot water. Theres many recycling bins and everything is super well organised. Fantastic also to have access to washing machine and dryer too, altho I didn’t use them it’s something I have never seen on a campsite and really is a luxury! Views from my pitch were spectacular. The pitch sizes across the site are great, with privacy hedging which is a priority for me. I was travelling solo with my dog. I would not hesitate to return to this site.

A friendly welcome awaits with detailed information regarding amenities etc. Geoff and Anita are both very forthcoming and friendly. The site is nicely spaced out with lovely views and walks straight into the forest….perfect for our two dogs. It is peaceful, quiet and although there is no shop/food vans etc, a lovely pub and shop are a walk away in the nearby village. We will definitely return. View Details
