Which entrance should I use?
Campsite and Event guests:
Stop at the large green electronic sliding gate. It should open automatically, but if not, just press the call button assistance or use the code we have given you.
Cottage guests:
From Yorkley Wood Road, carry straight on over the cattle grid and follow the drive towards Deanwood House. ( the white house)

Can we bring two cars?
Yes, that’s absolutely fine. Each pitch or cottage has space for one car, and any additional vehicles can be parked in the main car parks. Please note vehicles are left onsite at the owner’s risk.

Do you have Wi-Fi?
Yes, we have free Wi-Fi available across the site for all our guests.

Are there shops nearby?
Yes! Yorkley village is just half a mile away and has:
• A handy general store inside the Post Office
• A Select & Save convenience store
• Local pub for drinks and meals

Where can I charge my electric vehicle?
The nearest EV charging points are in Lydney at:
• Valero Service Station
• Tesco
Both are just a short drive away.

Can I do laundry onsite?
Yes. We have two laundry areas available:
• A laundry for cottage guests
• A laundry in the lower shower block for campsite guests

Are BBQs and Firepits allowed?
Definitely! Both are very welcome.
• Firepits and wood can be hired onsite.
• Cottage guests can hire BBQs.
• Campsite guests can hire or purchase BBQs from the Information Hut.
• We provide concrete slabs on the campsite for BBQs and fire pits to keep everything safe and tidy.

Will I get mobile phone signal?
Mobile signal in the Forest of Dean can be a little patchy. Some spots around the site have better reception than others, so you may need to move around slightly to find the best signal.

What is there to do in the Forest of Dean?
There’s so much to enjoy all year round — from cycling and canoeing to woodland walks and seasonal events. Steam train rides, Sculpture Trails, Puzzelwood, Go Ape etc

Is there a supermarket nearby?
The Yorkley Post Office has a well-stocked general store selling fresh food and everyday essentials. For larger supermarkets, Lydney is a short drive away.

Is there a cash machine nearby?
Yes — there’s a cash machine inside the Yorkley Post Office. You’ll also find external cash machines at Nisa Local and Tesco in Lydney.

What should we do in an emergency?
If it’s life-threatening or urgent, call 999 straight away.
