A freshly renovated, light and spacious two-storey, two-bedroom end-terrace cottage, ideally positioned overlooking the paddock with views towards the River Severn and Forest of Dean. The property benefits from central heating, double glazing, and comfortable, well-appointed furnishings throughout.

The cottage is fully equipped to accommodate up to four guests and includes a Smart TV, full-size electric oven with gas hob, microwave, and fridge with icebox. The living area features a three-piece leather suite, dining table and chairs, along with a selection of books and games for guest enjoyment.

On the ground floor, the property comprises a shower room with WC and an open-plan lounge, dining, and kitchen area, with stairs leading to the first floor. Upstairs, there is one double bedroom and a second bedroom with full-size twin beds.

Bath towels, hand towels, and bed linen are provided for all guests, with beds prepared in advance of arrival.

A shared laundry room located nearby offers access to a washing machine, tumble dryer, and freezer at no additional charge.

Please note, this is a pet-free cottage.

' I selfishly don't want to write this review so we can keep this absolute gem hidden for ourselves! An absolutely fantastic stay, Anita was present but not invasive and showed us how everything worked so no searcing for manuals! We felt right at home (including our chihuahua who couldn't escape the garden!) it was like visiting family. The cottage was equipped with everything you need - kitchen was stacked with pristine equipment, not grubby old pans and mismatched utensils - ideal for cooking. Bed was super comfy, spotlessly clean everywhere and the views - heaven. Powerful hot shower. The gate off the back garden to the forest of dean was amazing, we saw deer's and wildlife, no stress of parking/driving. Hot tub was well maintained, welcomed with a little prosecco and milk which made us feel at home. Folder containing lots of information which was so useful. A short drive to town where there is a big Tesco and the best Thai we've ever had outside of Thailand (NG Thai). We will be back '

' Lovely stay in Magpie cottage. Staff all lovely, accommodation very clean and well equipped. The location of the site is great for visiting the forests, Gloucester etc. Local supermarkets and petrol station in Lydney, a short drive away. Hope to visit again in 2027! '

' A very enjoyable stay. Great access for mountain biking and hiking, straight into parts of the forest and 40 minutes ride to the Forest Centre. The cottages are very well maintained and some freshly refurbished. Has everything you need included and more. The sports hall addition was a joy.
