We had a wonderful stay! The cottage was immaculately clean, cosy and tastefully decorated. There was everything you needed within the kitchen, with nice added touches like robes for use following being in the hot hub and also some separate towels too which were a great help. Anita was very welcoming and also very responsive to messages - she certainly is a great host - there when you needed her but also out of the way as not to be intrusive. The surroundings were breathtaking - such a beautiful part of the world. Having the Forest of Dean at the bottom of the garden gate was superb - we had some lovely walks with our dog and explored the local area which is really picturesque. This is certainly a very peaceful place and we really felt it was the perfect place to unwind. The added bonus for us was the use of the dog exercise field which is part of the campsite. Our greyhound could enjoy zoomies in a safe environment and have some off lead time. We will definitely be back - we loved it!

This is a very well run caravan and camping site, I don't know how they manage it but everything is really clean and tidy everything works and is of good quality. We stayed August Bank Holiday probably the busiest weekend of the year the site was full, due to the layout, mature trees and numerous hedges it never seemed too busy. If you could be bothered to walk to the shower block at the top of the site I never met a single person in it all week! The owners an Aussie couple are very friendly and laid back they weren't bothered when I was still on site about to leave at 12.30 so no pressure packing up. The location is great to explore the Forest of Dean we never had to travel more than half an hr, visiting Monmouth, Canoeing down the Wye, walking in the forest we also visited a working mine. It is also an excellent place to bring your dog with a big safe off lead dog field and the forest borders the site so plenty of off lead excecise, I walked to the local pub Miners arms from the site with my dog. We had a wonderful week with the family although sunny weather did help, we will be back.

We arrived on the wrong day and the staff were so understanding and helpful. We were still able to pitch for the weekend. Site quiet and very clean. Homemade pizza van was a lovely touch. Would definitely go back.

Fabulous elevated location overlooking the forest with spectacular sunset & dark starry skies. Ample space between pitches with a relaxed feel to the site. Two shower/toilets blocks & kitchenette/wash up rooms. The site owners are very friendly & welcoming, giving their time to come for a chat.
