Excellent facilities with spotless washrooms and a handy kitchen and fridge. Pitch was spacious and level with plenty of room for a vehicle.

Booked the cottage for a little get away in April with my husband and our Rottweiler puppy. Anita was there to greet us on arrival. She was very friendly and gave me a tour of the property and gave instructions for the amenities. The cottage was beautiful, well styled and very homely. We experienced all weathers during our stay, from sunshine to hail. But we didn’t mind one bit as the cottage was cosy and the hot tub was just as fun in the rain. There wasn’t a great deal to do and see in the local area. Yorkley and the surrounding towns appear to have much less to offer than we expected, however, the cottage backs on to the extremely beautiful Forest of Dean. So we spent our days exploring the forest and tiring out the puppy. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would 100% recommend the cottage and Anita to those wanting to take a few days out in the peace and quiet.

We really liked Deanwood. The team were super friendly and helpful. The situation of the site is quiet with beautiful views right in the heart of the Forest of Dean. Our hard standing pitch was perfect, good size with some grass next to the gravel and nice and level with 16A hook up and water. The shared facilities were absolutely spotless. There were also laundry facilities at no extra charge. The site is in walking distance of a couple of pubs and only a couple of miles from Mallards Pike.

Perfect cosy cottages, great hosts & beautiful nature! I was part of the organisation for a yoga retreat at Deanwood Holiday Cottages and they really delivered. The venue is large and like a big blank canvas for creating a beautiful retreat, with many rooms and a big kitchen. Apart from the venue, there is the wonderful perk of being on the edge of the Forest of Dean which is absolutely stunning (especially if you spot a deer). Geoff and Anita were incredibly supportive and communicative. They are down-to-earth and very understanding. I really appreciated their adaptability with the varied requests which were coming their way throughout the retreat. The venue has a lot to offer and there’s a lot you can do with it. The cottages are warm and cosy - just perfect. The participants of the retreat really love the cottages and feel very at home. This was the second time we booked with Geoff and Anita and I hope to return again! Thank you so much!!

Loved the cottage. We will be back. Spotless and very roomy. Decor very tasteful and sofas were very comfy. Combined it with us staying in our camper van whilst my daughter and family stayed in cottage. Super location and Anitia so helpful throughout the planning and arriving. Can’t wait to come back. Thanks

Would 100% go again The location and view was gorgeous. You can simply enter the wood from the campsite. Facilities were really clean with everything you need. Check-in and emails were seamless.

Perfect campsite, especially for those travelling with dogs. Little pricier than what I'm used to, but well worth it. The facilities and location were excellent. The toilet, shower and pot wash facilities were immaculate and Geoff was a wonderful host, greeting us with a bag of mini eggs at our tent and directions to the nearest pubs! We also enjoyed watching the calves have their breakfast each morning 😊

We had a lovely stay at this campsite. The views over the valley were brilliant, especially at sunset. Toilets and showers were clean and tidy, we only used the smaller block near our pitch, but there were others available. We were in a campervan with an awning - we pitched on the grass and were parked next door on the gravel. Pitch had plenty of room and the owners were helpful and always on the go!
