There are miles of cycle paths criss-crossing the Forest of Dean, both family-suitable cycle paths and ones specifically for the more experienced mountain biker. Here at Deanwood Holiday Cottages we have maps and leaflets in the office which you are welcome to borrow, not only of cycle paths in the Forest of Dean but also cycle paths or suggested cycle routes along the Wye Valley, around Gloucester, Bristol, South Gloucestershire and Cotswold villages.
We have our own secure Bike Shed where you are welcome to leave your bike when you are not using it. We recommend also bringing your own padlock.
Should your bike get muddy when you are out enjoying yourself, we have an outdoor tap with hose attachment for washing your bike down, also muddy boots and waterproof clothing. There are coat hangers in the Laundry where you can hang your wet clothes to drip before finishing them off indoors.
If you don’t want or haven’t room to bring your own bike, bicycles can be hired from several points in the Forest of Dean – Parkend, only 3 miles away; Cannop Valley; Coleford etc.
