Campsite Facilities
Deanwood offers modern comforts away from home, including clean toilets and hot showers, wash basins, hairdryers, wash-up area, washing machine and tumble dryer, chemical and waste disposal, water, electricity, bike wash, wifi and we are dog friendly!
Shower blocks
Two well maintained, modern, heated toilet and shower blocks on the campsite. One has a toilet suitable for special needs.
Wash up rooms
Two rooms on site for washing up those camp dishes. Both rooms have a fridge. One has a freezer, as well as a washing machine and tumble dryer all available for use.
Waste and chemical disposal
Provision on the hard-standing area for appropriate disposal of waste and chemicals.
Dog friendly
We welcome well-behaved pets onsite on leads – maximum of two per pitch. There is a one acre dog-exercising field available to let the dogs run free, or as we have direct access into the forest, there are miles of tracks to walk them.
Bike wash
Deanwood is an ideal campsite for those that love biking. With direct access into the forest, many mountain bike trails can be found. Then after a day of riding through the forest, we offer a wash area to hose down and bring the bikes back looking shiny again.
Information hut
At the entrance to our site, is our Information Hut, which houses tourist brochures of local attractions and interest for all types. It is a source of information and we do have a small selection of camping items for sale or hire. There is a book case of books to borrow or exchange for those who want to relax without the need of wifi. There is local and emergency information available even when the Hut is not open.
Local Area
The Forest of Dean is a reasonably compact area, so many of its attractions are within a 10-15-minute drive and some within walking distance through the forest.
Campsite
Five hundred and sixty feet above sea level, Deanwood Caravan and Campsite has spectacular views and excellent facilities to accommodate, tents, caravans and motorhomes.
Events Space
A former Equestrian centre Deanwood Barn has transformed to a fully functioning conference centre with rooms suitable for meetings, group get-togethers, training days, and workshops.
