Cottage Facilities
All of our cottages have gated access into Forest of Dean. All Deanwood cottage guests have access to a grass paddock, locked bike shed, laundry facilities, wash area for muddy boots and dogs, car parking and function rooms for hire.
‘The Paddock’ - Playing field
This large fenced grass area is ideal for picnicking, playing ball games, with basketball hoop and football net, or exercising your dog.
Locked bike storage shed
As the Forest is a perfect place to ride, whether that is direct from our cottages or to other locations, we provide a secure bike lock-up for your peace of mind.
Children’s playground
This small enclosed area is ideal for young children. There is an equipped Wendy house to make some ‘meals’ and a newly refurbished train to climb on as well as a few ride on toys.
Surrounding woodlands
The Forest of Dean borders our property, so should you be looking for some wild life, wild flowers or ready for a stroll, there are unsigned paths to wander, keeping it all very natural.
The Courtyard
Most of the cottages surround a courtyard, where there is outdoor seating for dining alfresco, A Barbecue area is included in this area. There are outdoor toilets and a wet area to wash those muddy boots and dogs after walks.
Laundry
A utility room close to the cottages, has washing machines, tumble dryers, ironing boards, and a sink for guests to use.
Car parking
Free parking spaces for all guests in the car parks.
Function room
Deanwood has Function rooms for hire when groups of friends or families want to celebrate that special occasion.
Local Area
The Forest of Dean is a reasonably compact area, so many of its attractions are within a 10-15-minute drive and some within walking distance through the forest.

Converted from stables, our 13 cottages retain the charm of yesteryear, with modern amenities for fully self-catering stays.
Events Space
A former Equestrian centre Deanwood Barn has transformed to a fully functioning conference centre with rooms suitable for meetings, group get-togethers, training days, and workshops.
