Deanwood Holidays has direct access into the Forest of Dean where it is possible to walk for miles without meeting another person. Being in a quiet rural area away from crowds, roads and traffic, it is the ideal place to escape society. The Royal Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, is an ancient oak woodland which is home to deer, buzzards and wild boar as well as many other small animals and birds.

February 2025 *NEW* Premium pitches ready

Over the winter the groundsmen have been preparing four terraced, premium pitches with half gravel and half grass. Each pitch has its private electric hook-up and water connection. These pitches take advantage of the spectacular view across the Forest and Lyd Valley.

Throughout the summer, Michele brings a touch of Italy to our site with his woodfired pizza oven - Madmuch. Watch out for dates when he is on site

Cycling in the Forest of Dean, and bringing your own bike

There are miles of cycle paths criss-crossing the Forest of Dean, both family-suitable cycle paths and ones specifically for the more experienced mountain biker.
